"At Alitah Interiors, my team and I work to make 'every space a reflection of your unique story'. When designing, the goal is to create an environment that blends beauty, comfort, and functionality in a way that feels deeply personal to you. Each design is carefully crafted to not only look stunning, but also to evoke a sense of home. With a focus on detail and a strong understanding of your lifestyle, the vision transforms into a timeless space that reflects your individuality and enhances your daily living."

my 4-step design process

1) Design Consultation

The design process begins with a detailed consultation where I take time to understand the client’s vision, lifestyle, and functional needs for the space. During this stage, we discuss design preferences, inspiration, color palettes, materials, and the overall atmosphere the client wants to achieve. I also assess the existing space, take measurements where necessary, and identify opportunities or challenges within the layout.

2) Mood Board

Once the design direction is established, I create a mood board that visually represents the concept of the space. The mood board brings together carefully selected elements such as color palettes, textures, materials, furniture inspiration, lighting ideas, and decorative accents.

3) Layouts & Space Planning

Space planning is one of the most critical stages of the design process, where functionality and aesthetics are carefully balanced. During this phase, I develop detailed layouts that determine how furniture, circulation paths, and functional zones will be organized within the space.

4) 3D Visualizations

To help clients fully understand the proposed design, I create realistic 3D visualizations of the space. These visuals allow clients to see how the layout, furniture, materials, colors, and lighting will come together before implementation begins.

You can see from Mood Board, to Layout and Space Planning, and finally with my 3D visualizations how my process and your design comes to life!

Open-concept living and dining room with leather sofa, green chairs, wood furniture, built-in shelves, and warm modern decor.

This space was designed to achieve a refined transitional aesthetic, balancing modern simplicity with classic architectural detailing. The open-plan layout allows the living and dining areas to coexist seamlessly, while maintaining distinct functional zones.  A coffered ceiling with integrated wooden beams was introduced to add depth and visual structure, anchoring the space without overwhelming it. The neutral palette, layered with warm wood tones and soft furnishings, creates a calm and inviting atmosphere that feels both elegant and livable.

This perspective emphasizes the spatial relationship between the living and dining areas. The design maintains a sense of openness while subtly defining each zone through furniture placement. Consistent material choices and color tones unify the space, allowing the eye to move effortlessly across the interior. This approach ensures the layout feels connected, while still maintaining clarity in function.

The living area was carefully planned to encourage interaction while maintaining a sense of openness. The furniture arrangement centers around comfort and conversation, with each piece positioned to create a natural flow.  A warm-toned leather sofa was selected as a grounding element, adding richness and contrast to the otherwise soft palette.  Complementary seating and layered textiles introduce balance, ensuring the space feels cohesive rather than overly uniform.

The reading nook is positioned beside the fireplace, creating a comfortable and well-lit corner within the living space.  A leather armchair adds warmth and depth, complemented by a wooden side table that reinforces the natural material palette. A floor lamp provides focused lighting, making the space both functional and inviting.

The dining area was designed to complement the living space while maintaining its own identity. Clean-lined furniture reinforces the modern aspect of the transitional style, while warm finishes ensure continuity with the overall palette.

Material selection played a key role in achieving the warmth and sophistication of the space. Natural wood finishes were paired with soft fabrics and subtle contrasts to create depth without visual clutter.  Attention was given to consistency across all elements, ensuring that each material contributes to a unified design language. This careful layering enhances the overall atmosphere, making the space feel intentional and refined.
